Hello,

I think it is because I haven’t ever lived this close to a beach but I really love the beach here in Wellington. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the flat and I often do it barefoot.

The beach itself is relatively small and has gravely sand. There is good sun all the way to eight o’clock and the tidal change is about 30 feet.

The beach also has a complex for the kids and is right next to an indoor pool.

I love coming to the beach and reading a book, but also enjoy listening to the Kiwi conversations going on around me. The waterfront also runs behind the beach so people continually walk, run, bike, and stroll along.

Overall it is really enjoying to just lay in the sun and read! I think it is a white person thing but I’m not entirely sure?!?
